The Human Behind the Leashes
Lili and Lance taught me that loving a pet means learning who they are, what they need, and how to meet them where they are.
Lili + Lance
Lili came into my life through an adoption event. Independent, clever, and not particularly interested in strangers, she taught me patience and to appreciate the little things.
A year later, Lance came home after being rescued from an abusive situation. Goofy, sweet, and complicated, he became my heartbeat dog and taught me just how much one pet can change your life.
Lance is gone now, but he's still very much a part of why I do what I do.
What They Taught Me
Lili and Lance pushed me to learn more about animal behavior and positive reinforcement. I've worked with trainers and veterinary behaviorists and completed the Karen Pryor Academy's Foundational Training Course.
That knowledge comes with me into every session.
My Philosophy
Pets don't have to be perfectly behaved to be photographed beautifully.
Some need patience and space. Some need treats and a chance to have fun. I meet each pet where they are and create a session where they can be themselves.
That's the heart of Lance & Lili.

Pets belong with the people who love them. I support efforts that help families keep their pets in their homes.

I’m a road trip warrior who’s checked off 49 of 50 states (Alaska, I’m coming for you!), a sucker for cheesy tourist traps, mini golf, lover of a good blueberry pie, and a firm believer that a good sense of humor gets you through just about anything.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me listening to audiobooks, experimenting in the kitchen, or hanging out with Lili, my sidekick and sunshine.
I’m an award-winning pet photographer with an AAS in Photography and Media, but honestly, the dogs have taught me far more than any classroom ever could.

Lili is my beloved senior sidekick and the unofficial CEO of Lance & Lili. She keeps everyone in line with her no-nonsense attitude and an impressive stare.
She loves sniff-filled walks, cheese, turkey, and keeping a very close eye on the squirrels. She's the sunshine in my life and, as far as she's concerned, being a pampered senior is exactly as it should be.
Lance Koa
Lance was my heartbeat, the love of my life, and my biggest teacher.
Before Lance came to live with us, he was in an abusive situation. He was a boy who desperately wanted to be loved. His favorite place was curled up beside you on the couch. But he also had behavior issues and taught me to be a better dog mom as we worked through his challenges.
Every morning, he'd wake me with a soft nudge or those big, loving eyes, ready for his walk and, of course, his beloved chicken nuggies.
