This is one of the highest compliments a pet parent can tell me.
Because yes, we’re here to create beautiful photographs. But first, your dog needs to have a good time.
No diva dressing room. No bowl of green M&M’s. Just a pocket full of dog-friendly treats, favorite toys, belly rubs, games, and lots of enthusiastic encouragement.
We follow your dog’s lead and let them be themselves. Some dogs charge in ready to party. Others need a little time to settle in. Some want to chase a toy. Some would prefer to collect treats and supervise. There’s no wrong way to do a session.
Your dog’s comfort comes first, always. We’ll take breaks, change things up, and give them as much time as they need. I reserve at least two hours for every portrait session, so there’s no need to rush.
And if your pup simply isn’t feeling it that day, that’s okay. We’ll make adjustments, and if they’re still not feeling it, we can reschedule at no additional fee.

The Process
1. Plan the fun
Once your session is booked, we’ll have a planning session by phone or in person at the studio. We’ll talk about your dog, what makes them happy, and the kind of artwork you’d love to create.
We’ll choose the look, backdrops, and details that will make the session feel like your dog.
2. Let the fun begin!
Then it’s time for your dog to take the stage.
We’ll follow their lead with treats, toys, squeakers, pets galore, games, and plenty of positive encouragement. Before the camera starts to click, we work on acclimating your dog to being the star of the show.
The goal? A dog who is having a genuinely good time and photographs that look and feel like them.
3. Choose your artwork
About one to two weeks later, we’ll meet again to see your images together or online.
You’ll choose your favorites from a gallery of 25 to 30 photographs, and we’ll design artwork you’ll love seeing every day, whether that’s a beautiful piece for your wall, something for your desk, or a keepsake album.
Studio Sessions-$495*
Welcome to our residential studio in Ashburn, VA, where your dog can relax, have fun, and just be themselves.
During your in-person or phone planning session, we’ll choose the look and backdrops that fit your dog and the artwork you want to create. Clean and modern, timeless and classic, or somewhere in between.
Then it’s showtime.
Zero squirrels to chase (unless they happen to like toy squirrels). No rain delays. No worrying about the weather. Just your dog being themselves, without asking them to be anything they’re not.
The studio is designed with your dog’s comfort in mind, too. The main studio is up one flight of stairs, and for dogs who can’t manage stairs, we have a ground-level setup ready for them.

*Your $495 session fee includes a $395 artwork credit toward your favorite images and artwork from your session.
For beloved seniors and dogs facing serious illness, Legacy sessions are the most tender and meaningful of all.
These sessions receive priority scheduling, unlimited time, and $250 of your session fee goes toward artwork that best fits your home.
Legacy sessions take place at my Ashburn, VA studio.
Every Legacy session is a tribute to a legacy of love, laughter, and memories. They are about honoring the love you share and honoring the bond that will always stay with you.

You bet! Your dog is welcome to wander around the studio. Most pets want to explore their new surroundings, and will eventually settle down. But even if your dog is rowdy throughout the session, no worries. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get his attention and capture beautiful photographs.

Studio sessions are a perfect answer for those dogs who cannot be off leash. If your dog needs to remain on a leash during their session, the leash will be edited out of your final images.

Absolutely. Some pets take longer than others to warm up to people, and that's totally okay! Our Planning Meet-and-Greet is my "first date" with your dog, so he can start to get comfortable around me. When it's time for your session, I'll take it slowly and make sure your pup feels at ease before we begin. Patience is key!

Yes! I’ll photograph them separately at first, so each dog has some time to shine in the spotlight. After that, I’ll photograph your pets together. And if they’re not on board with that plan? I’ll use the sneaky magic of Photoshop to create a beautiful composite image of your dogs together.

Absolutely! I definitely encourage you to be in at least a few photos with your pets. They’re your best friends, so let’s showcase the bond you share. Often my clients’ favorite images are the candid photos I take when they’re connecting with their dogs.
